The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation is pleased to
announce two humanities grant competitions.
The Humanities at Work PRACTICUM GRANTS competition
In 2003 The Woodrow Wilson Humanities at Work program will award 20
Practicum Grants of up to $2,000 to support PhD students in the
humanities who have created summer internships (taking place between
May and September) that engage their scholarship in a context outside
of college teaching and research. Deadline: March 17,2003

PUBLIC SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS competition
Partnership grants for partnerships of arts and humanities faculty
and community-based artists, humanists, educators, etc., who have
defined and designed a collaborative project in community creativity
at the local, regional or national level. Each project may request
up to $10,000; up to seven of these grants will be awarded.
Deadline: February 12, 2003
Curricular design grants for faculty teams to investigate ways to
integrate public scholarship into doctoral curricula. Funds may be
used to support planning and/or a small-scale pilot. Proposals
should include evidence of institutional support, a record of
engagement in public scholarship, and demonstrated experience in
effective curricular design. All past Public Scholarship Grant
winners whose projects fall within the emphasis of the 2003 grants
are encouraged to apply. Each project may request up to $10,000; two
or three of these grants will be awarded. Deadline: February 12, 2003
