A
HISTORICAL REVIEW OF THE PHENOMENOLOGICAL THINKING IN THE XX CENTURY GEORGIAN
PHILOSOPHY
Mamuka
Dolidze
My objective is to review phenomenological studies in contemporary
Georgian philosophy. Besides Husserl, the review concerns the problems of
Hartman's epistemology and existential ontology.
I consider the following Georgian philosophers: Kote Bakradze, Angia
Bochorishvili, Zurab kakabadze, Guram Tevzadze, Givi Margvelashvili and Merab
Mamardashvili.
This brief review of phenomenological studies of Georgian authors reveals
once again an enormous impact of Husserl's conception, which, in spite of the
obstacles observed in our soviet history, found a deep reffection in the
Georgian philosophical school.
