The Humanism of The Local Manuscript:

Between Two World : Past and Future

The local manuscript is a part of the traditionally of the human being ’s culture of heritage in the world.  As a  culture heritage, the manuscript is founded on many as an ancient text or  a literature or a picture with characteristic letter. A critical reflection, a thought of that manuscript has many values in there and we founded there are a philosophical values. So, the philosophical  values  are a lot values, for example:  truth, goodness, aesthetics and humanism.  The basic values of the truth was comes from epistemology. The value of truth is namely   theory of truth: correspondence theory,  coherence theory, and pragmatic theory. The values of goodness founded and related by human interaction about morality or religious experience. The thirdly is namely the   aesthetics values   and we have expressed  in the aesthetics experiences . Besides, in the traditional culture, for instance in  Indonesia (Java, Bali), we have seen representations of  aesthetics as result of  inward looking  and a metaphysics system. So, the elements of aesthetics are (a) harmonies   with the nature or the text (b) the human imagination  (c) the expression of the symbol of culture and (d) the attitude  of aesthetics and the image of aesthetics .

Humanism of the local manuscript  has basically  elements . We have seen that basically is coming from the being (human) with the human activities and conditions.  Besides, the human being had a spirit as an individualism . As a the  human being , they  have many ideas to make a lot  creativities in the local  manuscript  or another matter  of culture. The secondly,  the human  being has respects of the environment . They are a part of the nature so they will be as a good person  to arrange the environment. The thirdly, as  the human  being, they have a freedom  in the free will,  as a creator of manuscript or text.

We have seen the  representations of local manuscript in this time  between two world,  the traditionally and modernity world. And what happened the local manuscript? Is the local manuscript still exist as a ultimate reality or have a new paradigm or new perspective ?

Modernity is considered as a Western product or the demand of globalization, but it does not have to be completely rejected.. The local manuscript wants to compromise  with two world: the traditional (the past) and the modern (the future) and makes the dialogue with two world. The local manuscript presents a more progressive modern  thought, but  actually it sees because of  the values : truth, goodness, aesthetics. It tries to identify it self with the modernity as the representation of progress, freedom and  technology.

So, in this time, made a reinterpretation with a new paradigm will be recommendation if we want the local manuscript  give up on  many functions for the people not only as the ultimate reality . The values: truth, goodness, aesthetics held on the people and found expression in the manuscripts through the humanism-culture transforms into advanced the human life  by the pragmatic function.
