CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF CULTURE AND VALUES
Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Change
Publications of the Center for the Study of Culture and Values are the result of the detailed work of joint colloquia as in China, 10-week seminars in Washington, D.C., and the extended work of research teams in the various regions of Eastern Europe, Africa and other parts of the world. Other titles include, for example, specialized studies on figures in India and a critical Arabic-English edition of a classical Islamic text.
In addition to the usual distribution channels, the volumes are strategically located in 350 university libraries across the globe, but particularly in the Second and Third Worlds, so that anyone doing advanced research there has access to this library of research on culture and values. A work prepared in Uganda, for example, is available in Sophia and Karachi, while the works from China and Caracas are available in Ghana and Tashkent, constituting a unique channel for the flow of ideas. The series Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Change comprises over 80 volumes in the following subsections:
Series I. Culture and Values
Series II. Africa
Series IIA. Islam
Series III. Asia
Series IIIB. South Asia
Series IIIC. Central Asia
Series IV. Western Europe
Series IVA. Central and Eastern Europe
Series V. Latin America
Series VI. Foundation of Moral Education
