Invitation to an International Conference

The Dialogue of Cultural Traditions: Global Perspective

Istanbul University

Istanbul, Turkey

August 8-9, 2003

Organization Information

The thematic and programmatic organization will be carried out through the Council for Research in Values and Philosophy (RVP) in conjunction The International Society for Metaphysics (ISM), World Union (WUPCS) and the Philosophy Department of Istanbul University (Prof. Safak Ural, Chairperson, Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Letters, Istanbul University).

Conference Location:

Istanbul Kültür University  E5 Karayolu No: 22 Sirinevler Bahçelievler, Istanbul, Turkey

Emergency Contact:

Prof. Safak Ural: Cell phone: 009053324OO752

Email: urals@superonline.com

Prof. Faruk Akyol: cell phone: 542.595 22 16

Email: farakyol@istanbul.edu.tr

To go there with a guide, Prof. Safak Ural recommends that we meet at 8.00am on August 8 and 9 at the main entrance of Istanbul University (Beyazet Mosque or Veniceriler Street) and go together to Kultur University.

One can take the metro (underground) to the station of Ataköy-Sirinevler, from which Kultur University is a 5 minutes walk.

Or one can take bus number #37B or bus #61B and get off at Sirinevler or Yenibosna, just before the airport. Kultur University is between these two stops.

A “smart ticket” (“akbil”), good for tram, buses, and ferryies, is much more economical.
